| Sheffield Galleries and Museums Trust's community outreach programme, in partnership with Southey and Owlerton Area Regeneration (SOAR), provides professional development opportunities for local artists. Although artists are valued as members of local communities, studio provision for their practice is hard to come by and unaffordable for those living in deprived areas. This initiative helps redefine cultural provision by using acommunity centre and removing barriers to creating and viewing art works. |
