Imaging for Artists
David Shapiro Photography offers reprographic images of paintings, as well as studio "portraits" of sculptures and other 3D works. These images are ideal for artists' websites, for sale as greetings cards, prints or posters, and for marketing works to galleries and shows. David enjoys working in partnership with artists to create desirable images of their work. Sculptors and ceramic artists can share in the creative process of interpretation by helping to shape the lighting. Up to three images of 3D works are provided, as appropriate to the individual piece. To minimise costs to artists only wanting images for websites, prints are charged separately. With David's careful attention to faithful colour rendition, images of two-dimensional works can be made into limited edition prints worthy of the artist's signature. Images can be made either in David's Sheffield studio or in the artist's studio or display space, whichever is more convenient. But the prices shown are for shooting at David's studio. To allow for travel and set-up time, location shoots are charged by the day (or half-day within a 10-mile radius of Sheffield). Travel costs at 40p per mile will also apply. The artist seeking images of 10 or more works at the same shoot may save money by paying by the day. Please contact David to discuss your requirements and arrange the shoot before placing your order. Shown here are David's images of works by Des Brophy, Simon Clements, Alison Down, Katherine Rhodes, Hilary Simms, Brian Taylor and Vivien Whitaker ARBS. Of course, the copyright in all depicted works remains with the artist. If you're interested in prints of the pieces shown here, please contact the artist via the above weblinks.
